eBuddy offered web and mobile messaging solutions. It created the world’s first, independent, web browser-based instant messaging service as e-Messenger in 2003. The company was rebranded in 2006 from e-Messenger to eBuddy. eBuddy Chat was an online messenger that enables global users withMSN, Yahoo, Gtalk, Facebook, ICQ, and AIM accounts to chat free of charge in one aggregated interface.
eBuddy processed over 17 billion messages per month and enabled more than 30 million unique monthly users to exchange messages through its services. It won several awards such as the 2008 Crunchies Award for Best International Startup, 2009 Mashable award for the Best Mobile App and the 2010 Mashable Award for Best Mobile User Experience.
